The development of the marine phosphate industry in Namibia continues to be hamstrung by public emotion, legal action and bureaucratic delays. Yet, the marine diamond industry continues to flourish in the same marine environment, eco-system and using dredging on a larger scale unopposed. Why is this double standard allowed to persist?
